When fitted with a separate hand-held lance and appropriate thermocouple tip, it can be used with molten Steel, Bronze, Cast Iron, Aluminum Alloys, Copper, Gold, Brass and Silver. Peak temperature is typically detected and captured in just 3-5 seconds.
The FL-1 is an accurate, easy-to-use, reliable thermal analysis system designed to provide iron chemistry analysis for foundries. A descendent of the popular QuiK-Lab and Datacast digital thermal analysis instruments which were designed by us and sold under the Electro-Nite name, the SYSCON FL-1 runs the same familiar software and generates the same reliable results as those best selling instruments. Pair it with our Metacup sampling cups and stand for a complete package.
SYSCON Sensors CC-1 provides quick and accurate calibration checking for Pyrometers and Lab analyzers. Similar to the familiar Checkmate devices, the CC-1 generates cold-end compensated voltages corresponding to three standard temperatures and includes lance resistance check functionality. A standard curve can be generated to plot on an FL-1, QuiK-Lab, Datacast, or similar cooling curve lab analyzer.
SYSCON Sensors MD-10 Multi-Dip Thermocouple Tip is a high precision, non-splash probe, ideal for small furnaces and ladles in slag-free metal. It provides quick and accurate temperature measurements using a thermocouple tip protected by a quartz tube. Unlike other expendable thermocouples, additional insulation is not needed since only the quartz tube is dipped in molten metal. An optional heat shield is available to extend the life of the contact black. The MD-10 is compatible with the SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld Digital Pyrometer or any other industry standard unit.
SYSCON Sensors MUL is an expendable, multi-use, non-splash, and high precision thermocouple probe. With the thermocouple tip protected by ceramic fiber and foil insulation, it is suited for larger furnaces and a wide range of molten metals - Iron, Steel, Copper, Bronze, and Aluminum. The MUL tip does not need any special accessories. It fits securely on SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld Digital Pyrometer.
SYSCON Sensors SUL is an expendable, single-use, and high precision thermocouple tip. It is suited for a wide range of molten metals - Iron, Steel, Copper, Bronze, and Aluminum. The SUL tip does not need any special accessories. It fits snugly on SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld or WM-1 Wall-Mount Pyrometer Lance. SUL thermocouple tips are constructed from convolute paper tubes with a ceramic body thermocouple insert and moisture-resistant cement for accurate and quick temperature measurement. They have a slower burn rate and greater beam strength than spiral paper tubes. The small-diameter tube is designed for easy penetration in furnaces or ladles.
SYSCON Sensors MD-K Multi-Dip Type-K thermocouple is an accurate, non-splash probe, ideal for all furnaces and ladles when melting lower temperature metals and alloys. The Type-K tip is very long lasting – remaining reliable over hundreds of dips. The MD-K is available in various lengths and can be securely mounted on lances used with the SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld or WM-1 Wall-Mount Digital Pyrometers.
